The FAT Dipole 1.2 GHz antenna from BlueBird Tech is an ultra-wideband omnidirectional antenna, implemented on a printed circuit board (PCB).
The special geometry of the FAT dipole allows the antenna to operate effectively in an extremely wide frequency range — from 1000 to 1700 MHz, while maintaining a stable SWR (< 2.0).
Due to the absence of bulky elements and a weight of only 12 grams, the antenna has minimal aerodynamic drag. Unlike classic thin dipoles, the FAT Dipole is less sensitive to the influence of surrounding objects and metal structures, ensuring stable communication in challenging operating conditions.
The antenna forms a classic dipole radiation pattern ("donut") with maximum radiation perpendicular to the antenna axis.
