A gerotor hydraulic motor has a uniquely efficient operating principle: a gerotor gear pair, internally meshed, begins to rotate around each other under fluid pressure, creating torque. As a result of this mechanism generating torque, the shaft begins to rotate, performing specific work for construction or agricultural transport.

Gerotor hydraulic motors come in the following types:

• By valve type: disc valve (provides high power) and spool valve (an ideal option for continuous production, as it ensures high productivity). 
• By rotation speed, they are divided into: high-speed (up to 2000 rpm), medium-speed (50-1500 rpm), and high-torque (capable of creating high torque at low speeds - up to 600 rpm). 
• By design type: with an inclined block (operate with high pressure) and with an inclined disc (have lower torque). 

Hydraulic motors are chosen based on the following technical characteristics: operating pressure, displacement, maximum torque, and rotational speed, which depends on the model.
