Description
Legendary Original BA6-BA7 Initiation Board
Used on many well-known aircraft. Operates in air defense mode and with aircraft return.
Note: No impact sensor! Triggers by shorting the whiskers or a toggle switch.
Board operation sequence for whiskers:
• Upon power-on, set the drone's remote control to the "disarm" command (lower switch position) and wait ~2 seconds. The device is ready when the green LED stops blinking and glows continuously; other LEDs should not be lit.
• To put the device into the armed state, set the remote control to the "arm" command (middle switch position) and wait 35 seconds. During these 30 seconds, the green and blue LEDs will be lit.
When transitioning to the armed state, the blue and red LEDs will light up, and it will be ready for operation (shorting the whiskers or switching the remote control to the third position).
• Disarming the device is done by issuing the "disarm" command. In the disarmed state, only the green LED is lit.
• Detonation by command from the remote control is performed by switching the remote control to the third position (fire) when the device is in the armed state.
If the "fire" command is given before the device has transitioned to the armed state, the "disarm" command will be executed, and the delay timer will reset.
• Detonation by shorting the whisker contacts is only performed in the armed state.
• The impulse during detonation is continuous until the "disarm" command is given, regardless of how it was initiated – by command or by shorting contacts, and is accompanied by the red and yellow LEDs being lit.
A blinking blue LED indicates the "arm" command, a red LED indicates "fire", and all three LEDs blinking indicates an unrecognized command or missing PWM signal (check the code input in the Betaflight command line). In this case, the device is in standby mode for the "disarm" command.
Frequent simultaneous blinking of red and blue LEDs after power-on indicates a short circuit in the whisker contacts. In this case, power must be turned off, and the short circuit eliminated.
Quick algorithm: turn on the remote, then the drone, check that the board glows green. For reassurance, a 5V buzzer LED can be connected to the output.
If the pilot is ready to take off and radio and video communication are normal:
Connect the pre-soldered 15cm detonator cable to the wires with the connector from the board, keeping the detonator away from yourself and not holding it by hand. All clear? Detonator in the warhead, and leave the takeoff area!
The board is switched to the armed state with a toggle switch - when the drone has flown a sufficient distance!
Installation example on Speedybee f405 v3:
Solder to Led, or to the corner of the flight controller to the left behind the camera - D4
Then enter this code into the Betaflight console. After this, the board should start responding to the AUX2 remote switch:
