Description

The CHDB Yagi antenna is a compact directional transmitting Yagi antenna from the Ukrainian manufacturer CHDB (Cherkasydronbud) for the TX transmitter module in UAV, NRK, and MIL ELRS radio control systems. It increases the range and stability of the control channel compared to omnidirectional solutions at the same frequency.

Common parameters for the series: gain 10 dBi, VSWR < 1.2, impedance 50 Ohm, linear polarization, weight approximately 120 g (depending on variant and mounting). Includes a 50 cm coaxial cable with an SMA (male) connector.

On the Flash Army website, each MHz sub-band is a separate product. Choose the variant for your TX frequency (see tables below). In the product card's name and characteristics, specify the band, for example: CHDB Yagi Antenna 370–400, Yagi 420–480, etc.

Key Features

  • Type: Yagi, directional antenna for TX.
  • Gain 10 dBi, impedance 50 Ohm.
  • VSWR < 1.2 in the operating band of the selected variant.
  • Polarization: linear.
  • Cable 50 cm, connector SMA (male).
  • Factory settings for 310–790 MHz bands (catalog below).
  • Compact dimensions — convenient mounting on the remote control and external TX module.

Key Advantages

  • High gain 10 dBi: significantly better range compared to dipole/Moxon at the same frequency.
  • Low VSWR < 1.2: efficient TX power transmission without unnecessary losses.
  • Ready 50 cm feeder: connection to TX without homemade cables.
  • Lightweight design (~120 g): convenient for field control points.
  • CHDB in-house production: compatibility with 370–550 MHz transmitters, MIL ELRS, and TX+RX kits.
  • Wide range of frequencies: from 310–330 to 730–790 MHz for a specific radio link.

Applications

  • Ground TX transmitter on the control panel or external module.
  • MIL ELRS systems and CHDB radio links in the corresponding sub-band.
  • CHDB TX+RX kits (TX antenna replacement or upgrade).
  • Long-range FPV flights and reconnaissance missions.
  • Field posts where a directional antenna is needed instead of the standard omnidirectional one.

Available Frequency Variants (Separate Products)

Each row is a separate product card on Flash Army. For the exact range and SKU, contact the CHDB supplier.

420–480 Compact (typical series) ~120 g
450–480 Compact (typical series) ~120 g
490–520 Compact (typical series) ~120 g
500–530 Compact (typical series) ~120 g
540–560 Compact (typical series) ~120 g
310–330 Compact (typical series) ~120 g
730–790 33.5 cm; 38.5 cm with mount 21 cm 117 g; 246 g with mount

Note: the CHDB catalog also includes a large ground Yagi 310–330 (other specs: 7.3 dBi, 640×440 mm) — a separate product, see chdb-antena-yagi-310-330.html.

Package Contents

  • Yagi antenna (variant for the selected frequency).

Operating Warnings

  • Choose the variant strictly for your TX frequency — an unsuitable sub-band increases VSWR and reduces range.
  • Orient the Yagi towards the UAV's flight zone; you may need to reorient the antenna if the operator's position changes.
  • Tighten the SMA connector without misalignment; do not strain the cable during installation.
  • Keep the antenna away from metal structures that distort the radiation pattern.
  • Do not confuse the compact Yagi 10 dBi with the large Yagi 310–330 (7.3 dBi) — these are different catalog items.

The CHDB Yagi antenna is a compact ground solution for Sub-GHz control: 10 dBi, VSWR < 1.2, and a choice of eight sub-bands for your CHDB radio link.
