Description

MARIUPOL v2.3 Initiator from manufacturer 603700 FPV — a specialized charge activation module for fixed-wing (kamikaze) UAVs, which sends an impulse to an electronic detonator and provides a complex of mechanical and electronic protection levels. This initiator is designed with the requirements for long missions, ease of installation in "wing" bodies, and high reliability of activation in mind.

Purpose and Operating Principle

The device is designed for installation onboard "wings" and functions as an initiator with inertial activation (upon impact) based on accelerometer data or remote activation via a PWM channel. Manual ARM/DISARM from the remote control via PWM is also provided. The initiator monitors the power status, checks for a correct PWM signal upon power-on, and provides light and sound indications to the operator.

Key Features

  • Self-destruction timer: 3 hours after the last ARM, designed for long fixed-wing missions.
  • Safety timer: 4 minutes after removing the mechanical safety pin — during this period, the device does not react to impacts or the detonation command (1500 µs) from the remote control.
  • Backup power: built-in CR123A 3V element and the ability to power via the +5V contact from the flight controller; the battery is used as a backup.
  • PWM check: upon power-on, the device checks for the presence of a DISARM PWM signal (1000 µs) from the flight controller and signals a malfunction if it is absent.

  • Button placement: the power on/off button is brought out to the front panel for easy installation in the "wing" body without access to the side panels.

Four Levels of Protection

  • Self-diagnosis: upon power-on, accelerometer data, safety pin presence, battery charge level, and correctness of PWM signals at the "SERVO" input are checked.
  • Mechanical safety pin: safety pin; after its removal, a 4-minute safety timer starts; if the safety pin is returned to the starting position and four short beeps are awaited, the device is deactivated and the timer is reset.
  • Safety timer: during its operation, it does not react to overloads or detonation commands from the remote control.
  • Electronic safety: ARM/DISARM via PWM channel; after ARM (1000 µs) is applied, the device reacts to overloads and the detonation command from the remote control.
