The system consists of independent blocks: each block has a separate casing, its own non-removable antenna, and a connector for power supply from a portable LiFePo4 24 V 12 Ah battery, which is included. Power is supplied exclusively from the portable battery — connection to the vehicle's onboard network or other power sources is not provided. The operating time from one battery when using two blocks is approximately 2.5 hours.
The antenna on each block is designed for a specific frequency and is non-removable, which eliminates the possibility of connecting the block without an antenna and reduces the risk of failure of the amplifying components of the electronic module. The antennas are made with a reinforced design for increased resistance to weather conditions and vehicle vibrations. Neodymium magnets impregnated with rubber are used for mounting the blocks — installation on vehicles is simple and fast. The module design provides passive cooling, which increases reliability in field conditions compared to active cooling solutions.
IMPORTANT!
- 1. Many devices visually resembling "Kulbaba" have appeared on the market, but the manufacturer of the original system is only AWEDYNE. Other devices have nothing in common with this product. Be careful when choosing.
- 2. Devices with multiple bands in one casing and with multiple antennas in one block may not work correctly: antennas must be spaced apart from each other. Do not trust "convenient" designs that save space at the cost of protection effectiveness.
- 3. Collinear dipole antennas form a field with a "donut-shaped" zone above the user — this is a vulnerable area. Use only correct antennas for dome protection.
- 4. Power only from the included battery. Do not modify the device for the vehicle's network. If the operating time is insufficient, it is recommended to purchase an additional battery pack.
- 5. Avoid devices with active cooling: fans and active cooling elements can fail under the influence of rain, snow, dirt; in case of cooling blockage, the device may fail. Choose solutions with passive cooling.
