Description
N-type (female) to QMA (male) adapter, (20-50)cm long.
(female-jack; male-plug)
This adapter, sometimes called a "pigtail", is used in addition to long and stiffer cables such as RG58, LMR400, WL400ZHN or RG6 for direct connection to small QMA (male) connectors on various equipment.
The reverse side has an N-type (female) connection.
Only the highest quality connectors and cable are used in manufacturing.
For additional sealing, heat shrink tubing is applied with adhesive.
For the production of pigtail adapters, a cable similar to RG-58 is used, which is not originally designed for frequencies up to 6 GHz (6000 MHz). Thus, it has significant losses at high frequencies and distances of 20...50 meters.
However, for a finished product length of 15 cm, the losses will be about 0.2 dB, which is comparable to cables rated for frequencies up to 6 GHz. But these high-frequency cables have greater rigidity, which defeats the purpose of a soft and flexible pigtail adapter. Moreover, a single low-quality connector can introduce much more significant losses than a mere 0.2 dB.

Connectors installed on cables and adapters (pigtails) are not designed for high torsional and especially tensile loads!
