Electronic reconnaissance (SIGINT) and electronic warfare (EW) device for 2.3-2.7 and 5.2-5.8 GHz frequencies, IEEE 802.11 (WiFi) standard
The device is designed for long-range detection, up to 10-15 km, of any devices operating on WiFi technology, determining their quantity and characteristics such as model, purpose, operating mode, serial number, etc., and, if necessary, blocking their operation (EW).
Targets for such a device can be long-range wireless communication links (Internet and local networks) using 802.11 technology, WiFi routers, connected computers, tablets, phones, drone control panels, video surveillance cameras, etc.
The advantages of this device are: Significant target detection range, up to 10-15 km. Detection of devices with hidden SSID. Detection of devices that do not operate in AP mode and are not connected to routers, such as phones, tablets, computers with WiFi enabled, video surveillance cameras, etc. Blocking target operation using a principle different from most existing EW jammers. Specifically, while most EW jammers suppress the target with a powerful signal, this device exploits a vulnerability in the WiFi protocol and sends spoofed disassociation commands to the enemy base station on behalf of trusted devices and a broadcast address, which leads to the forced disconnection of devices from the WiFi base station and blocking their operation.
This principle has several advantages:
a) the ability to selectively suppress chosen targets, while most EW jammers block all WiFi targets in the direction, including their own;
b) low emission level, which complicates the detection of this device by the enemy;
c) operation in short pulses and a mode different from AP, which also complicates detection.
Traffic interception via AP to detect open data such as logins, passwords, texts, or interception of all traffic for decoding. The device can be used to audit one's own positions for "information hygiene." Checking how hidden one's own access points, Starlink routers are, whether WiFi is turned off on personnel's phones, etc.
The device can perform other functions that are currently under development or can be implemented according to the technical specifications.
