HORN SECTORAL S-BAND ANTENNA
Purpose
The S-band sectoral horn antenna with an asymmetrical radiation pattern is designed for receiving and transmitting linearly polarized signals in the 2300 - 2600 MHz frequency range in vertical or horizontal polarizations. The antenna is characterized by high directivity in the E-plane of the waveguide, low side lobe levels, and good matching with a coaxial feeder path with a 50 Ohm wave impedance.
Design Features
The antenna is made in the form of a pyramidal horn based on a 96 x 46 mm rectangular waveguide, for the manufacture of which an aluminum alloy was used. Elements of a coaxial-to-waveguide transition with an N-type female coaxial connector are mounted in the waveguide part of the horn.
