The FlyMod Triple Feed Patch directional circularly polarized patch antenna is based on an open project by Belgian engineers Maarten Baert and Robin Theunis, and modified by the FlyMod team.

Despite the changes made, the antenna meets all parameters of the original project, as some manufacturers violate the technology of spacing between plates, which affects the reception range.

• Good radiation efficiency
• Good axial ratio (not only directly perpendicular to the patch, but also off-center)
• The center frequency may vary slightly between batches due to changes in the dielectric constant of FR4. In addition, not all FR4 brands have the same dielectric constant. Frequency shifts up to 100MHz are normal.

Changes by FlyMod

• Mounting holes (lugs) removed to reduce size. They did not affect antenna operation and were not used in FPV
• Does not require a terminator cap, as the antenna has one SMA output and only built-in right-hand (RHCP) polarization
