Counter-battery system Sova 2 - A new generation mobile optoelectronic system for counter-battery warfare and artillery reconnaissance.

The mobile system «SOVA 2» — is a technical continuation of the «SOVA» reconnaissance system line, successfully tested in real combat conditions. The system allows deploying a network of observation posts on a front up to 4 km, ensuring personnel safety through remote control.

DESIGN FEATURES AND FUNCTIONALITY:

• Modular architecture (Main and Bridge): The system is divided into a «Main» processing module (deployed directly at the observation post with 1–2 cameras connected) and a «Bridge» communication module, which interact via secure communication channels.
• Intelligent software: The system's proprietary software automatically records events (flashes, launches, impacts). The updated version allows entering current air temperature and humidity data for ultra-precise distance determination based on sound propagation speed.
• Play-back function: Ability to instantly «rewind» the video stream for detailed analysis of the launch or impact moment without stopping live recording.
• Reporting convenience: The system automatically generates ready-made target lists as a separate file with direct links to screenshots of confirmed bearings.
• Energy efficiency and survivability: The «Bridge» module is equipped with a quick-change battery (25.2V 20Ah), which guarantees at least 2 hours of autonomous operation for the system and cameras in case of complete loss of external power.

• Coordinate determination accuracy: 0.5% of range (with a bearing angle of at least 1-00).
• Directional angle determination time: up to 10 seconds from the moment of detection.

• Component autonomy:— Surveillance camera: 24 hours— Operator's rugged laptop: 5 – 6 hours— «Bridge» module backup battery: from 2 hours
• Operating temperature range:— External modules (cameras): from -20 °C to +50 °C— Operator's workstation (indoors/dugout): from +5 °C to +35 °C
