Installation guide for sun-protective and impact-resistant film
You will need:
Utility knife (very sharp)
Scraper — for cleaning glass
Water sprayer
Squeegee or a plastic card wrapped in a thin cloth
Soap solution (optional): 5 drops of liquid soap or shampoo per 1 liter of water
Installation steps:
Step 1: Film preparation
Measure the glass dimensions.
Cut the film with a 2–3 cm margin at the edges.
Step 2: Glass preparation
Wash the glass thoroughly with a cleaning agent.
Remove dust, dirt, stains, and grease with a scraper.
Then generously wet the glass with clean water from a sprayer (or soap solution for easier film sliding).
Step 3: Film preparation
Remove the protective layer from the film.
Wet the adhesive side of the film with water or soap solution.
Step 4: Application
Apply the film (wet adhesive side) to the wet glass.
Wet the outer face of the film with water to avoid scratches while smoothing.
Step 5: Smoothing
With a squeegee or a card wrapped in cloth, squeegee out air and water from under the film.
Move from the center to the edges, working only on a wet surface.
Step 6: Trimming
After smoothing, carefully trim excess film with a sharp utility knife along the glass edge.
⚠️ Important tips:
Work in the shade or in a cool room — direct sunlight makes installation harder.
Keep the film wet during all steps — this prevents scratches.
The film can be removed and repositioned while it is still wet.
