Fenix PD35R Rechargeable Tactical Flashlight
The Fenix PD35R is an updated tactical version of the UC35 V2.0 model, designed for intensive use with an emphasis on a long-range concentrated beam of light. Equipped with a Luminus SFT40 LED, the flashlight emits cool white light with a color temperature of 6500K and a maximum brightness of up to 1700 lumens. The beam range is up to 353 meters, and the diode's lifespan is up to 50,000 hours (approximately 5.5 years of intensive use).
The recommended power source is a proprietary 18650 Li-ion battery: the Fenix ARB-L18 3400 mAh, which is included in the basic package. The device's operating voltage ranges from 2.85 V to 6 V. The battery compartment is protected by an O-ring against moisture and dust. The built-in USB Type-C charging port is located in the head of the body — the battery can be charged without removing it from the flashlight; a 100% charge takes about 3 hours. The port is covered with a silicone plug for moisture protection during operation in harsh weather conditions.
Two CR123A batteries (frost-resistant) can be used as an alternative power source. When using CR123A, Turbo mode and color charge level indication are unavailable, and Strobe mode will operate at up to 1000 lumens instead of 1700 lumens.
Operating Modes
The flashlight has six modes: five constant and an auxiliary Strobe mode. They allow you to adjust brightness for illumination, signaling, or disorienting an opponent.

- High: 1000 lm – 19300 cd – 278 m – 2 h 55 min.
- Mid: 350 lm – 6680 cd – 163 m – 4 h 45 min.

- Strobe: 1700 lm.
The operating time in Turbo mode is indicated taking into account the activation of intelligent overheating protection: if the internal temperature rises to 60°C, the power automatically decreases to prevent damage to the power elements and diode; after the body cools down, Turbo mode resumes. Illumination power also gradually decreases as voltage drops. In Eco mode, the color indicator starts blinking three times every 5 minutes as a signal to charge or replace the batteries.
Control
Control is performed by a dual tail switch: a large round button is a tactical switch for instant activation; a smaller oval button is functional for changing modes and activating the strobe. The buttons differ in size and texture so they can be distinguished by touch even with gloves.
- Instant activation: light press of the tactical button.
- Constant illumination activation: full press of the tactical button.
- Mode change: single click of the functional button (modes change from lowest to Turbo).
- Strobe activation: press and briefly hold the functional button.
Color Indication
Below the charging port is an indicator that glows red during charging and turns green when 100% charged. When the charge is critically low, the indicator signals this with periodic flashes.
Physical Characteristics and Protection
The body is made of A6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy with premium HAIII anodizing and a matte finish, which increases wear resistance and hides scratches. Impact resistance is up to 1 meter. The IP68 protection level allows the flashlight to be used in heavy rain and submerged up to 2 meters of water. It is recommended to periodically check and, if necessary, replace the O-ring, which is included in the kit.
Dimensions: 136 x 25.4 x 23.2 mm. Weight with the installed proprietary battery: 140 g. The model can be used as a handheld or weapon-mounted flashlight.
