Hood-mounted Net Gun Spider
Vehicle-mounted net gun
How it works
Pressing the remote control button initiates a sequential cycle: the spring is tensioned in the retraction mechanism, followed by instantaneous release of the firing pin and a shot. The time from the first touch to the burst of energy is — 150–250 ms. This is not "hope"; it's a reaction that manages to preempt the threat.
Power and connection — what you need to know
- Voltage (min/nom/max): 10.5 / 12 / 14.5 V
- Power cable: AWG12 (cross-sectional area 3.3 mm²), length 1.5 m
For guaranteed operation, connect the device directly to a 12 V battery. During activation, the device may require a momentary current of up to 50 A — long wires and routing through the fuse panel lead to voltage drop and the risk of failure at a critical moment.
Housing and operation
The overall dimensions of the device (L × W × H) are 335 × 164 × 150.4 mm.
The device has an ingress protection rating of IP43 — protected against foreign objects and splashes, but not designed for prolonged exposure to rain or submersion. Mounting on the hood must be rigid and secure so that the device maintains its geometry and firing accuracy even while moving.
Care and maintenance
To maintain effectiveness and safety:
- Clean the barrel channels every 5 shots from carbon residue.
- After cleaning, lubricate the channels with gun oil.
Regular maintenance reduces the risk of jams and maintains consistent activation speed.
Safety rules
- Installation and connection — only by a qualified person.
- Do not aim at people, civilian objects, or critical infrastructure.
- Use firing lock during technical work.
- Check the condition of cables and mounts before deployment.
The hood-mounted net gun is an instant countermeasure tool. Simple in design, strict in its requirements for installation and maintenance, it works when speed determines the outcome of the situation.
