The UNIVERSAL UND-BD 220 KVA diesel generator from the Universal brand is an industrial power plant designed for autonomous and emergency power supply, used for both backup and continuous power supply to offices, private households, industrial and agricultural enterprises, banking institutions, state and municipal facilities, and other critical sites.

It features a high-quality BAUDOUIN engine group (French brand), ensuring high performance and low fuel consumption; depending on the modification, a mechanical or electronic governor is used. BAUDOUIN engines are widely used in military and quarry equipment, as well as in shipbuilding, which confirms their reliability and durability.

The generator casing is a sound-absorbing, all-weather enclosure with vulcanized fiberglass layers for sound insulation and a rigid structure with stiffening ribs. The casing is made of galvanized steel and painted with powder polyester paint, which protects against corrosion and moisture ingress, allowing the unit to be installed outdoors without additional shelters.

To ensure reliable starting in cold weather, automatic coolant preheating and automatic battery charging are provided; the automatic charging station constantly monitors the battery status and recharges it as needed.

A Surirella alternator is installed, an analog of Stamford products, which ensures high power quality. The alternators have sealed AVRs, protecting against dust and moisture. Options with a self-excitation system or a permanent magnet (PMG) are available.
