MFD mini Crossbow automatic antenna tracker up to 0.5 kg.
Brand: MFD
Category: Drones & Quadcopters > Stacks (FC+ESC)
The MFD mini Crossbow automatic tracker is a compact and functional solution for aiming an antenna at UAVs weighing up to 0.5 kg. The device supports traditional analog video links thanks to VBI (Vertical Blanking Interval) technology, which allows navigation information to be transmitted without the need for a separate audio channel or specialized video transmitter. Encoding data can come from the flight controller or GPS and be inserted into the video signal between fields using the TeleFly Tiny/PRO module, making the system compatible with standard cursor cameras.
For correct operation with the VBI scheme, it is necessary to break the video signal wires after the OSD system and connect the adapter module. The video receiver connects to the corresponding tracker jack, as well as to the 3-pin cable located behind the servo — power supplied to the tracker input is transmitted through this cable. This allows for the simplest possible integration of the tracker into existing equipment without a major overhaul of the video link.
In addition to VBI, the tracker supports MAVLINK 1.0/2.0 telemetry listening and S.Port protocols, which allows determining the drone's location without an additional radio channel. The ability to use MAVLINK as a coordinate source is also implemented, simplifying integration with modern controllers and ensuring reliable real-time antenna aiming.
