RadioMaster T8L is a compact and affordable radio controller based on the ExpressLRS 2.4GHz protocol. It is the first officially supported ELRS radio without a built-in display, which allowed it to be made as light as possible (only 204g) and energy-efficient. Thanks to its gamepad-like form factor and removable sticks, it easily fits into a small bag or even a jacket pocket.

The main innovation of the T8L is browser-based configuration (Web-UI). You don't need to navigate complex menus on a tiny screen or install third-party software. Simply connect the radio to a PC via USB-C, open a page in Chrome or Edge — and you get full control over calibration, channel settings, and ELRS power. This is an ideal tool for beginners, simulator training, or as a reliable "backup" radio for whoops and park flying.

Tips and Features:

• First startup: if the radio is on but the drone doesn't respond — ensure all switches are in the down position and the throttle stick is at zero. This is a safety feature that might not be obvious without a screen.


• Batteries: two 18650 cells are required for operation (not included). We recommend using high-quality Li-Ion batteries with a capacity of 3000-3500 mAh (e.g., EVE 35V).


• Charge indication: when only one active LED remains on the front panel — this is a signal for immediate charging. The radio turns off almost immediately after the low battery audible alert.


• Updates: firmware for both the radio itself and the internal ELRS module is performed via the same Web interface.
