Control and Tactical Capabilities
The Fenix PD32R is equipped with a tail tactical switch with completely silent operation. This allows for silent turning on/off of the flashlight and quick mode control.
- Turn on/off: press the tactical button deep into the tail.
- Momentary light: press and hold the button — the light turns off when released.
- Change modes: tap the button during operation (sequence: Low → Mid → High → Turbo).
- Activate strobe: press and hold the button for 0.5 s; to return to constant modes — press the button once.
To prevent accidental activation, simply loosen the connection of the tail cap and, if necessary, remove the power source.
Power and Charge Indication
Operating voltage: 2.9 V – 6.0 V; maximum operating current up to 5.2 A. The kit includes an ARB-L18-3400 lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 3400 mAh. The battery is charged via a hidden USB Type-C port, protected from water and dust; a full charge with a 5 V / 2 A adapter takes approximately 3 hours.
The charge level indicator turns on for 3 seconds each time the flashlight is turned on after loosening the head of the body:
- Green constant: 100 - 85%;
- Green flashing: 85% - 50%;
- Red constant: 50% - 25%;
- Red flashing: 25% - 1%.
If the voltage drops below the permissible level, low-voltage protection is activated: brightness automatically decreases to minimum power, and the color indicator will flash three times every 5 minutes as a reminder to charge or replace the power source. This option only works when using the included battery.
Alternatively, two CR123A batteries can be used, but it should be noted that in this case, Turbo mode is unavailable, and strobe brightness is reduced to 800 lm.
Body and Performance Characteristics
The body is made of premium A6061-T6 anodized aluminum with HAIII coating, ensuring high wear resistance and corrosion protection. The flashlight withstands drops from a height of 1 m and has an IP68 protection rating — it can be submerged to a depth of 2 m for 4 hours. The kit includes 2 spare O-rings for replacement if the main seal wears out.
