The Fenix LR35R handheld flashlight from the Fenix brand is a powerful searchlight for camping, rescue operations, speleology, and exploration. Description and Key Features
The Fenix LR35R combines compactness and ultra-high brightness: six Luminus SST40 LEDs with a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours create a powerful search beam. The flashlight is positioned as a search variant: a spotlight angle of about 90° makes it convenient for search tasks, area reconnaissance, and rescue operations. The built-in charge indicator shows the battery status; the indicator can be viewed when the device is off with a single button press.
Operating Modes
The device has six main modes and a strobe. The modes provide the following parameters: Turbo — 10000 lm (1 hr 25 min*), Max — 3000 lm (1 hr 35 min*), Mid — 1200 lm (3 hr 15 min), Min — 450 lm (8 hr 20 min), Eco — 50 lm (80 hr), Strobe — 10000 lm. Values were obtained under laboratory conditions with ARB-L21-4000P batteries at a temperature of approximately 21±3 °C and humidity of 50–80%; in field conditions, performance may vary.
- Mode memory: upon reactivation, the last selected mode is activated.
- Lockout function: two quick presses when the flashlight is off lock/unlock control.
- Operation: press and hold the button for ~0.5 s to turn on/off; a short press switches modes within a group; pressing >1 s switches between groups and activates the strobe.
Charge Indication
The button displays the battery charge level: solid green — 85–100%, flashing green — 50–85%, red light — 25–50%, flashing red — 1–25%.
Thermal Protection and Operation
The Fenix LR35R is equipped with a thermal control system: if the body heats above 65 °C, brightness is automatically reduced for cooling; after the temperature drops, the device returns to the selected mode. The flashlight withstands a wide temperature range from -35 °C to +45 °C and remains operational in difficult weather conditions. It is stated that the model withstands drops up to 1 m according to tests, and general specifications indicate drop resistance up to 1.5 m.
