The compact and affordable RadioMaster TX12 radio system features a built-in CC2500 multi-protocol RF chip, supporting popular receiver protocols from various manufacturers: Corona, Hitec, Futaba S-FHSS, Frsky D16 / D8 ACCST (LBT or FCC), RadioLink, and Graupner HoTT (please note that Spektrum protocols are not supported).
Compared to the TX16S, the TX12 does not have a full set of protocols, but it supports the most commonly used ones and offers the advantage of a 1dB power increase compared to the same chip in a 4-in-1 module. This translates to about 12% additional range. Additionally, the RadioMaster TX12 supports the use of external long-range modules such as TBS Crossfire Micro, FrSky R9M, ELRS, which connect via a dedicated bay with a 5-pin JR connector. To use them, you need to change the priority from the internal to the external module in the remote control settings.
The RadioMaster TX12 runs on OpenTX firmware and supports Companion PC software.
The size of the RadioMaster TX12 is about two-thirds of standard radio systems, and with a removable antenna and a foldable carrying handle, the remote control is even more compact, making it easy to travel with. Despite its smaller size, the system features more comfortable, sharp gimbals for any type of control. The RadioMaster TX12 also has a 128 x 64 monochrome LCD, a well-designed body, an aluminum scroll wheel for menu navigation, and a foldable handle for convenient transport.
Another feature of the TX12 is a built-in charger for 2S 7.4V 18650 Li-ion cells or LiPo batteries. Simply connect to a USB power source using the included cable – the status indicator will light up red, indicating charging, and turn off when complete. The USB-C port can also be used for data transfer with Companion software or for control in a simulator.
Note: Do not power on the radio system without the antenna connected!
