Material and Protection: The outer fabric is Cordura 1000D (380 g/m²) with NIR treatment, which reduces visibility in night-vision devices. The fabric has a double polyurethane coating for protection against moisture and lubricants, is flame-retardant, resistant to abrasion and fading in the sun, and maintains operational properties in extreme conditions.

The pouch zipper is rubberized to prevent moisture penetration, equipped with two sliders for quick opening from either side, and a WJ puller for ease of use. The hook-and-loop fastening allows the dangling pouch to be securely attached to a plate carrier or body armor with a Velcro panel. The front Velcro panel is made using LaserCut technology and is MOLLE-compatible for attaching patches and additional gear.

Inside, the pouch has four compartments (three internal and one front), allowing for organized storage of essential equipment. A Class 1 ballistic insert from Militex can be placed in the rear Velcro-closed pocket. An elastic attachment for a tourniquet — a 10 cm rubber band — is provided at the bottom. Ballistic inserts are soft, flexible, and lightweight panels that effectively protect against pistol rounds, small fragments, and secondary projectiles (concrete fragments, glass, etc.). Militex inserts are made from high-quality materials and meet the requirements of Class 1 protection.

Testing and Resistance

The MILITEX armor insert withstands shots from the following ammunition types: 9×18 mm pistol round (velocity 341±1 m/s) with a steel core (cartridge 57-N-181s, Makarov pistol) and 9×19 mm Luger round (velocity 401±1 m/s) with a full metal jacket, in accordance with the requirements of paragraphs 6.1.2 and 7.1.1, table 1 of DSTU 8782:2018 for Class 1 protection; the maximum depth of blunt trauma deformation is 20.0 mm.

Class 1 refers to an equivalent in composition, tested on standard laboratory samples measuring 500 × 500 mm, so blunt trauma may differ depending on the size and shape of the specific ballistic insert.
