PTTM-21 is a three-phase voltage stabilizer for an apartment or house with a maximum power of 21kW, belonging to the Volter PTTM series, designed to provide stabilized voltage to all types of electrical consumers when powered from a grid with unsatisfactory voltage quality. This is a double-conversion device without energy storage.
The stabilizer ensures that the output voltage is unaffected by changes and surges in the input voltage, as well as by load changes. To achieve this, it contains a reference voltage source with grid frequency and stable magnitude, against which the stabilizer's output voltage is continuously compared. Thanks to this design, the stabilizer does not react even to very sharp, instantaneous changes in input voltage, and reacts very quickly to any change in load. Independence from load type is also implemented, meaning the stabilizer works equally well with active, capacitive, and inductive loads, provided the output current does not exceed its permissible output current.
To prevent overheating and thermal protection activation during demanding operating conditions (full load, high ambient temperature), the voltage stabilizer is equipped with a forced cooling system that activates when the temperature inside the device exceeds 60°C. To minimize noise, two low-speed fans are used.
