PCP Air Rifle ZBROIA Khortytsia 550/230 (cal. 4.5 mm, black) — a modern PCP model from the Ukrainian company ZBROIA (Kharkiv), introduced in late 2021. The Khortytsia 550/230 features a pre-charged reservoir with a volume of 230 cm3, an operating pressure of 30 MPa (300 kgf/cm2), and a filling port diameter of 6 mm. The rifle is finished in black with a Monte Carlo-style wooden stock, has an overall length of 1110 mm, weighs 3.4 kg, is 62 mm wide, and 186 mm high.

New Bolt System

The rifle is equipped with a new bolt system — an analog of the Fortner bolt: reloading is performed by a linear movement of the handle along the barrel axis, cocking the bolt with the index finger, and returning it with the thumb. This design simplifies operation, reduces reloading time, and enhances convenience during shooting and training.

Linear Magazine

The Khortytsia comes with six linear magazines, each holding 5 pellets (magazine capacity 5 pcs.), providing up to 30 loaded shots, conveniently stored in a special niche on the stock. The magazines are securely fixed by a magnetic system, allowing for quick and ergonomic replacement. The design allows monitoring the number of remaining shots due to linear displacement after each shot. The new pellet retention — in the chamber by two pellets — preserves the resource of rubber seals and ensures stable feeding at low temperatures.

Updated Stock and Equipment

The elongated forend in the trigger area allows resting the rifle on the fist or palm during a standing position; the forend has a swivel stud hole for attaching bipods or slings. The grip is shortened, and the angle of inclination is changed to implement the new bolt system. The trigger guard is made of wood and carved into the stock, the "flag" type safety is moved to the receiver for the left hand. The Picatinny rail is extended to 160 mm.

Barrel and Ballistics

The barrel is made of gun steel, rifled (12 left-hand grooves), with a twist rate of 450 mm, and a barrel length of 550 mm. With factory settings in 4.5 mm caliber, the rifle has a muzzle energy of 35 J and an initial velocity of approximately 280 ± 40 m/s (depending on the pellet). Type of airgun: PCP. The rifle is equipped with a regulator.

Safety and Sights

The safety is manual; no sights are included, but the presence of an extended Picatinny rail allows for the installation of an optical or mechanical sight as desired by the user.
