The tourniquet can be positioned with the C-shaped retainer in any direction, simplifying and speeding up its application. An internal intermediate retainer securely holds the tourniquet from falling out when opened, but can be easily released for quick extraction when needed. This design helps reduce tourniquet application time by separating the part that contacts the hand from the tourniquet's "body."
