Weknife Tyro WE24001-3 Folding Knife — Description and Features
The Weknife Tyro WE24001-3 folding knife from the Weknife brand combines ergonomics, art design, and premium materials. The project was developed by Malaysian knife designer Snecx Tan, known for his individual approach and unusual contours of details. The result is a medium-sized model with "character" that attracts attention with both its functional utility and aesthetics.
A distinctive feature of the design is the skeletonized handle with cutouts, which significantly reduces the knife's weight and improves grip. The handle surface has a bronze tint, adding artistic value to the product. The handle material is 6AL4V titanium alloy — lightweight, strong, and resistant to corrosion, high temperatures, and chemical influences, making the knife suitable for everyday use, as well as for work in tourism or workshop conditions.
The blade is crafted in a Drop Point profile from CPM 20CV powdered stainless steel (manufacturer Crucible Industries). This grade, produced by powder metallurgy, provides an excellent uniform metal structure: high strength, corrosion resistance, and long-lasting sharpness retention. The blade is tumbled and features a black coating that conceals minor scratches and fingerprints.
For quick and convenient opening, a triangular hole is provided in the blade: the knife is equally easy to open with the right or left hand. Ceramic bearings in the pivot assembly are responsible for the smooth and effortless movement of the blade. The blade is locked using the patented SuperLock mechanism, conceived by the same designer, Snecx Tan: the mechanism locks the blade by moving the spacer backward, is simple in design, and easy to maintain and clean.
The handle features a multi-position clip made of 6AL4V titanium, allowing the knife to be attached to both the right and left sides, and the clip to be fixed in an "up" or "down" position for various carrying methods in the pocket. The tail of the handle has a lanyard hole for a lanyard or decorative paracord.
