Description of the Kentavr MK20-1/6 Motor Cultivator
The MK20-1/6 garden motor cultivator is a model in the "KENTAVR" line of motor cultivators designed for quick and efficient soil loosening on plots up to 0.12 acres, as well as in garden beds, flower beds, orchards, and vineyards.
The motor cultivator is equipped with a 6-section tiller with a cultivation width of 450 mm or 650 mm, allowing for maximum precision and accuracy when loosening soil near tree trunks, bushes, or other plantings, as well as near fences, curbs, around posts, decorative park structures, and rockeries.
A wide handlebar with soft ergonomic grips, a modern-design clutch lever, a convenient manual throttle lever, an additional plastic transport wheel, and protective fenders that cover the tillers across their entire width – all this allows for minimal physical effort when working with this motor cultivator, making its use comfortable and safe even for women and the elderly.
Thanks to the power of a reliable 3.0 hp 4-stroke gasoline engine, the motor cultivator can effectively loosen soil in one pass to a depth of up to 150 mm, even on fairly dense soils or those that have not been previously cultivated. The gasoline engine provides the motor cultivator with autonomy for off-site work, has a low weight, starts easily at low air temperatures, responds quickly to RPM control, and is simple and accessible in maintenance and operation. The engine is equipped with an efficient air filter and a manual starter. The muffler is covered by a protective casing to prevent possible burns.
The motor cultivator is driven by a V-belt transmission with a controlled tension roller. The tiller is driven by a worm gear reducer. The belt drive simultaneously serves as a power transmission, clutch, and a safety and protection element. If the tiller suddenly jams with a stone or stick during operation, the belt drive will absorb the impact and prevent damage to the engine and reducer. In addition, a belt-driven motor cultivator is significantly lighter in weight and lower in price, as well as simpler and more convenient to operate and maintain than a gear-driven one. The drive and driven pulleys, as well as the tension rollers, are made of metal, not plastic, ensuring a long service life. The V-belt is segmented, with high traction performance. For safety and protection from dirt, the entire belt drive is reliably covered by a casing.
The motor cultivator is equipped with a tiller with a working diameter of 300 mm. The tiller consists of four saber-shaped blades in each section. The blades are made of structural sheet steel. The helical arrangement of the blades reduces vibration and ensures uniform load on the reducer. All metal surfaces, including the engine frame, tiller parts, and depth gauge, are well painted to protect against corrosion and extend their service life.
