The original M-Tac tourniquet pouch is designed for quick access to first-aid supplies and convenient storage of a tourniquet. A strap loop is located on the front: by sharply pulling it, you can easily and quickly open the flap and retrieve the tourniquet. For more precise control of the pouch opening, a special retainer is provided: in the closed position, the retainer is attached to the Velcro panel and does not allow the pouch to open completely — the tourniquet can only be pulled out from the top; if the retainer is detached from the Velcro panel and placed inside, the pouch opens completely, simplifying the removal of contents.
A Velcro panel with a characteristic "cross" symbol is located on the front panel, allowing quick identification of the pouch as medical; it has enough space for patches, such as blood type identifiers. Additional elastic bands for attaching markers are located on the sides of the pouch.
On the back of the pouch are two flaps with sewn-on Velcro panels. With their help, the pouch can be attached to the bottom of a plate carrier or to its right/left side. To attach, remove the modular insert from the plate carrier, secure the pouch with one of the flaps to the base, and return the modular insert to its place.
