Fenix C7 (SST70, ANSI 3000 lm, 21700) Model Description
The Fenix C7 is a high-performance handheld flashlight from the Fenix brand, designed for industrial maintenance, outdoor activities, and camping. It uses a Luminus SST70 LED with a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, and is powered by a 1x21700 Fenix ARB-L21-5000 (5000 mAh) Li-ion battery, which is included. The battery charges via USB Type-C; a full charge takes approximately 3 hours.
The flashlight delivers a maximum light output of up to 3000 lumens in turbo mode with a beam distance of up to 470 meters. Design and Operation Features
The body is made of durable A6061-T6 aluminum with a Type III anti-abrasive hard-anodized finish (premium Type III coating), ensuring reliable protection in harsh conditions. The IP68 protection standard provides complete waterproofing, and impact resistance corresponds to a 1m drop. The body shape and ergonomic clip allow for convenient carrying on a belt or in a pocket, while the magnetic base enables attaching the flashlight to a metal surface to free up hands.
Controls, Mode Memory, and Lockout
Control is implemented via a tactical side button. From the off state, press and hold the button for approximately 0.5 seconds to turn on in the general mode sequence; to switch between main group modes, single press (Eco→Low→Med→High→Turbo). Flash modes (Strobe→SOS) are activated by holding the button while on. The flashlight remembers the last general mode and returns to it upon the next power-on; if a flash mode was used during operation, the strobe will activate upon re-powering.
There is a lockout function: a double press of the button for ~0.5 seconds locks the device (the indicator will blink twice at the minimum level). To unlock, double-press the button, after which the flashlight will automatically turn on at a low level.
Battery Level Indication and Overheat Protection
Battery status indication is available when the flashlight is off — press and hold the side button and observe the indicator: steady green light – 100%–85%, flashing green – 85%–50%, steady red – 50%–25%, flashing red – 25%–1%. To prevent overheating, intelligent thermal protection is provided: when the body heats up to ~60°C, the brightness automatically decreases, and after cooling, it is possible to return to the maximum mode.
