Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 Headlamp, Dark Purple

The Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 headlamp from the brand Fenix is an improved version of the popular model, designed for trail running, camping, travel, and everyday use. The body is made of magnesium alloy, which provides durability against drops from up to 2 m, corrosion resistance, and a lightweight design: weighing 53 g without the battery and head strap. The headlamp has overheating protection: when the electronics heat up to 60°C, the device automatically reduces the current brightness for cooling, so the operating time in maximum modes is indicated taking into account operation in combination with less intense modes.

Control and Functions

Control is performed using a dual switch on the top of the body: a separate button for each mode group ensures quick one-handed mode changes and eliminates confusion. Mode changes within groups occur as follows: in the white light group — a single press when the headlamp is on changes the sequence Low → Mid → High; in the warm light group — a single press changes the sequence Eco → Low → Mid → High. A quick transition between groups with activation of the lowest brightness is available by a single press of the second group's button when the light is on. To prevent accidental activation during transport, a lockout function is provided: simultaneously pressing both buttons for 3 seconds when the device is off locks or unlocks the headlamp.

Power Source and Indication

Power is provided by one 18650 format battery (a proprietary ARB-L18 3400 mAh battery is included). Alternatively, several CR123A batteries can be used. The headlamp operates stably in a temperature range from -35°C to 45°C. Charging is done via the built-in USB Type-C port on the back of the body without needing to remove the battery; a full charge takes about 3 hours. For charge level indication, LED indicators are provided (activated by a single press of any button when the light is off) — 4 indicators: 100%–80%; 3 indicators: 80%–60%; 2 indicators: 60%–40%; 1 indicator: 40%–20%; 1 flashing indicator: 20%–1% (data is relevant when using a Fenix ARB-L18 battery).

Body, Mounting, and Kit

The headlamp body is made of magnesium alloy, making it lightweight and impact-resistant. The IP68 water resistance level allows operation in bad weather and after immersion. The kit includes a proprietary head strap with reflective elements and a patented length adjustment system: simply turn the rotating valve to tighten or loosen the strap. A whistle is also installed on the head strap for signaling in emergency situations.
