Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 Headlamp, Lilac

The lightweight and powerful Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 headlamp in a lilac body is designed for trail running, travel, and everyday use. This improved version features increased brightness, enhanced light quality, and useful additions to improve functionality and ease of use. The device is equipped with two built-in LEDs: a white Luminus SST40 (6500K) and a warm OSRAM GW (3000K), allowing for flexible color temperature selection depending on the task.

Power, Range, and Runtime

The maximum brightness of the headlamp is 1600 lm, and the maximum beam distance is 170 m. Thanks to optimized power consumption, the runtime reaches up to 24 hours on white light and up to 300 hours on warm light in Eco mode. The device has overheat protection, which activates when the electronics reach 60°C and automatically reduces the current brightness for cooling, so the runtime in the highest modes is given considering operation at lower power levels.

Operating Modes

Modes are divided into two groups by color temperature: white and warm light. An SOS signaling mode is also provided.

Control and Additional Features

Control is implemented using a dual switch on the top of the body: each mode group has a separate button, allowing for quick one-handed mode changes and eliminating confusion. Mode changes occur sequentially: for white light Low → Mid → High, for warm light Eco → Low → Mid → High. A quick transition between groups with activation of the lowest brightness is performed by a single press of the second group's button when the light is on. For protection during transport, a lockout function is provided: simultaneously pressing both buttons for 3 seconds when the device is off enables or disables the lockout.

Another useful feature is the presence of a whistle on the headlamp mount — a simple and reliable means for sounding an alarm in emergency situations.

Power Source and Indication

The device uses one 18650 battery for power (a proprietary ARB-L18 3400 mAh battery is included), and CR123A batteries can also be used as an alternative. There is no need to remove the battery for charging — a USB Type-C port is located on the back of the body, and a full charge takes about 3 hours. The headlamp operates in a temperature range from -35°C to 45°C. LED indication is provided for charge control (relevant when using a Fenix ARB-L18 battery): 4 indicators — 100%–80%, 3 indicators — 80%–60%, 2 indicators — 60%–40%, 1 indicator — 40%–20%, 1 flashing indicator — 20%–1%.

Physical Characteristics and Protection

Body dimensions: 78.6 x 25.3 x 43 mm. The body is made of magnesium alloy — the material provides lightness (headlamp weight 53 g without battery and mount) and increased resistance to mechanical impact. The headlamp withstands drops from a height of up to 2 m and has a high level of moisture protection IP68 — it works after a 4-hour submersion to a depth of 2 m.
