Fenix HL32R-T Red Headlamp — Overview and Advantages
The Fenix HL32R-T headlamp in a red casing is designed for trail runners and active outdoor enthusiasts: compact, lightweight, and functional. The model combines two independent LEDs — Luminus SST20 (6500K) and Redslight (4000K), each controlled by a separate switch on the top of the casing. Maximum brightness reaches 800 lumens, and the illumination range is up to 132 meters. The built-in stride frequency sensor automatically adjusts light intensity to movement speed: for example, at 150 steps/min, the light will be ~200 lumens; at 220 steps/min, it will be about 300 lumens.
Operating Modes
The headlamp has 7 light options, grouped into two categories: long-range modes and close-range illumination, including flashing SOS. Digital current regulation is implemented for smooth and stable operation.
Long-Range Illumination

Control and Lockout
The interface is simple: two buttons for two light groups. Power on/off is done by pressing the button for 0.5 seconds, and mode changes are made with short presses. There is an electronic lockout, activated by pressing one or both buttons for 3 seconds; to unlock, repeat the procedure. In new 2024 versions, lockout is performed by simultaneously pressing both switches and holding for 3 seconds.
Power Source and Charge Indication
Power is provided by a proprietary ARB-LP1900 Li-ion battery pack (included) or three AAA batteries (in which case colored charge indication is unavailable). The battery provides up to 12.5 days of autonomy. Charging is done via a USB Type-C port in approximately 3 hours; a Type-C cable is also included. Four charge level indicators are located on the front of the casing: 1 indicator — 20%–0%, 2 indicators — 50%–20%, 3 indicators — 80%–50%, 4 indicators — 100%–80%.
Materials, Dimensions, and Operation
The casing is made of magnesium alloy, making it lightweight and durable: dimensions 66 x 45 x 30 mm, weight 107 grams (with proprietary battery pack) — 30% lighter compared to aluminum-cased counterparts. The design withstands drops from a height of 2 meters. Operating temperature range: from -35°C to +45°C. IP66 protection class guarantees dust resistance and moisture resistance.
Headband Mount
Included is an elastic headband mount with a patented length adjustment mechanism that can be adjusted with one hand: pull back the round adjuster, turn to change tension, and secure. The strap width is 36 mm.
