Description
Airwave Monitoring Device «Sova V2 Drone Detector» (Analog Video)
The SOVA V2 airwave monitoring device is an autonomous functional scanner designed for continuous analysis of the radio spectrum to detect sources of analog video signals, including FPV drones and other UAVs. The device does not provide signal protection or suppression — it ensures timely detection and informs the operator.
Purpose and Application
The device is used for:
- real-time airwave monitoring;
- detecting active analog video channels;
- warning of approaching UAVs based on video signal strength;
- operation in mobile and stationary conditions;
- use by vehicle crews, mobile groups, and observation posts. The device does not require constant visual monitoring — the operator receives an audible and vibratory alert when a threshold signal level is detected.
Operating Frequency Ranges
The device performs automatic scanning and analysis of video signals in the following ranges:
- 1080–2500 MHz
- 3000–4000 MHz
- 4900–6060 MHz
Only frequencies carrying a video signal are displayed, without unnecessary noise.

- automatic signal level measurement (RSSI);
- ranking of sources by signal strength;
- audible and vibratory warning when a source approaches;
- sequential video viewing from all detected sources;
- operation without distracting the operator from primary tasks;
- ability to select optimal ranges for a specific region. Operating Modes The device supports the following modes:
- SHOW Scanning → ranking → automatic video display from the strongest source (4 seconds) → re-scanning.
- SCANNER Scanning → display of frequency list with ranking → re-scanning.
- VIDEO Stopping scanning and manual video viewing from detected sources.
- Scanning Range Selection Modes: 5+3+1 / 5+3 / 5+1 / 3+1 / 1 / 3 / 5 Allows reducing airwave analysis time and adapting operation to specific conditions.
- Main display: 5.7” ISP HDMI, 1920×1080 — video viewing;
- Auxiliary display: 2.5” LCD 76×240 — operating modes, frequencies, signal level, battery charge;
- Passive battery charge indicator — monitoring without powering on the device. Power and Battery Life
