The Ajax EN54 FireProtect Heat/Sounder is a wireless certified fire heat detector with a built-in siren, compliant with EN 54-5 (heat detector classes A1/A1R/A1S, B/BR/BS, C/CR/CS) and EN 54-3 (audible alarm) standards. The device is designed to protect premises where smoke detectors are less effective: kitchens, garages, workshops, and utility rooms. It reacts to reaching a critical temperature or its rapid increase, activating a built-in siren with a volume of up to 85 dB.
The detector transmits information to the EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller central module via the secure Jeweller radio protocol, ensuring stable two-way communication at a distance of up to 1700 m in open space. The device is equipped with tamper protection, radio signal jamming detection, and synchronization of all alarms in the system.
The detector's sensors analyze temperature changes, reacting to both exceeding a set threshold and an abnormally rapid increase. Upon activation, the siren emits an audible signal compliant with EN 54-3, simultaneously with visual LED indication. All devices in the system simultaneously alert to danger.
Power is provided by a pre-installed CR123A/CR2 battery, which guarantees up to 5 years of autonomous operation with a standard polling interval of 36 seconds. An additional CR2032 backup battery supports the Tamper protection functionality.
Detector installation is simplified thanks to the SmartBracket mount, which allows the device to be installed without disassembly. Connection to the system takes a few seconds via a mobile application and QR code. LED indication allows for easy checking of the device status.
The Ajax EN54 FireProtect Heat/Sounder transmits all events to the central monitoring station or security company via supported protocols (Contact ID, ADEMCO 685, SIA), including activations, malfunctions, communication status, and battery charge level.
