The plate's construction includes an anti-ricochet coating of ballistic felt with a thickness of 8 mm and a damper of the same 8 mm thickness with increased density of 80 kg/m3. These layers are made of soft material that absorbs energy impulse and reduces the risk of blunt trauma. Ballistic felt adds almost no weight and effectively retains the bullet core and fragments. To protect the anti-fragmentation layer, a special PVC layer lamination is applied, which prevents moisture penetration and extends the plate's service life.
