The 12 g. CO2 cartridge from SAS is designed for use in airguns: pistols and revolvers. Inside the cartridge is compressed CO2 gas under pressure and a small amount of oil, which lubricates the barrel bore and moving mechanisms during firing, ensuring smoother operation of the bolt assemblies and seals. When the cartridge is installed in the pistol grip or magazine, its neck is pierced, after which the gas is metered through the weapon's valves with each shot.

It is not recommended to leave the cartridge loaded inside the weapon after shooting, as prolonged exposure to pressure, gas, and oil can lead to premature wear or damage to rubber seals and valves. If the weapon starts to "leak" pressure or operates unstably, you should contact a service center or use a repair kit to fix the malfunctions.

Twelve-gram CO2 cartridges, such as this one from SAS, are standardized in size and compatible with most simple air pistols, as well as blow-back models where the slide or bolt moves during recoil. One cartridge provides approximately 40 shots, with the power of each subsequent shot gradually decreasing as the gas is depleted. Therefore, when planning shooting or purchasing pellets for training, it is advisable to have several cartridges in reserve: for example, when buying 100 pellets, it is recommended to have at least 3 CO2 cartridges for stable shooting.
