The TK-STAR TK-915 can operate in several modes simultaneously:

Mobile networks + Satellites
Mobile networks only (4G/3G/GSM)
Satellites only

The first, hybrid method is used by default, but in places where there is no mobile network coverage or no available satellites, it operates in the mode that is currently available. It should be noted that data will be most accurate in the first mode.
