Through a hook-and-loop opening, one layer of foam can be removed and replaced with an armor plate measuring 35×25.5 cm. Soft ballistic anti-fragmentation protection can be purchased separately; it is not included in the kit.

Attachment System and Mobility

The mat can be attached to the waist using side straps, which are designed as wings and sewn at an angle. Inside them is an elastic band, which transitions into a regular webbing strap on the outside: this ensures comfort when sitting or active, the attachment does not constrict the skin and allows free movement. The straps fasten with a buckle; one of the side straps has a significant length adjustment range — up to 87 cm, and the free end is secured with an elastic band.

The mat can also be laced to a MOLLE system (for example, to an RPS) or hung on a regular belt using two vertical attachments with hook-and-loop fasteners. These vertical attachments can be adjusted in length, and the buckles allow for quick detachment or attachment of the mat without the need for lengthy lacing.
