The design features a rubberized zipper with two sliders for quick opening from either side and an additional puller from WJ for ease of use. A sample of the soft ballistic insert withstood firing with a 7.62×25 mm bullet with a steel non-heat-treated core in a brass-clad steel jacket (pistol cartridge 57-N-134s, TT pistol) in accordance with the requirements of Table 1, clauses 6.1.2 and 7.1.1 of DSTU 8782:2018 for Class 2 protection (under normal operating conditions). It should be noted that Class 2 is determined using standard laboratory samples measuring 400×400 mm, so non-penetrating trauma may vary depending on the size and shape of the specific insert.
