Kiborg M Drop Pouch with Militex PE Class 2 Ballistic Insert, Cordura Khaki

The M-sized drop pouch from Kiborg is a convenient, spacious, and functional pouch that complements an individual equipment set and provides additional groin protection when equipped with a soft ballistic insert from Militex. The model is designed for use in a wide range of tasks, considering the needs of military personnel and tactical gear enthusiasts.

The main fabric of the product is Cordura 1000D 380g/m² with NIR treatment, which reduces visibility with night-vision devices. The fabric has a double polyurethane coating that protects against moisture and lubricants; the product is flame-resistant, abrasion-resistant, and fade-resistant in the sun, maintaining its operational properties in challenging conditions.

The pouch's zipper is rubberized and protects the pouch from moisture penetration. It features two sliders for quick opening from either side, as well as a WJ puller for convenience and operational speed. The hook-and-loop attachment allows the pouch to be securely fastened to a plate carrier or body armor with a Velcro flap. The front Velcro panel is made using LaserCut technology and features a Molle system, allowing for the attachment of patches or additional equipment.

The drop pouch has four compartments (three internal and one frontal), allowing for the storage of essential items. A Class 1 ballistic insert from Militex can be placed in the rear pocket, which closes with Velcro. An elastic attachment for a tourniquet — a 10 cm long elastic band — is provided at the bottom of the product. This compact and lightweight pouch will be a reliable companion and appeal to modern tactical gear enthusiasts.

About ballistic inserts: Ballistic inserts are soft, flexible, and lightweight panels of various shapes that reliably protect against pistol bullets, small fragments, and secondary striking elements (concrete fragments, glass, etc.).

Militex insert materials:

• Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE).
• Class 2 inserts do not use additional dampeners — only polyethylene, ensuring high quality and reliability of the product.
• The cover is made of high-quality waterproof fabric — 100% nylon 170 g/m² with thermoplastic polyurethane coating.

The edges of the armor insert are ultrasonically sealed, ensuring a strong and reliable material bond. Ultrasonic sealing creates high-frequency vibrations that locally heat and melt the material at the point of contact, forming a hermetic and strong seam — an important technology for products that need to be water and airtight.

The soft ballistic insert sample withstood firing with a 7.62×25 mm bullet with a steel non-heat-treated core in a tombac-clad steel jacket (pistol cartridge 57-N-134s, TT pistol), in accordance with the requirements of Table 1, clauses 6.1.2 and 7.1.1 of DSTU 8782:2018 "Personal protective equipment. Body armor. Classification. General technical conditions. Amendment number 1" for Class 2 protection.

Class 2 refers to an equivalent in composition, tested on standard laboratory samples of 400×400 mm; behind-armor trauma may differ depending on the size and shape of the ballistic insert.
