ZBROIA Biathlon 450/220 is a PCP air rifle of Ukrainian production by the ZBROIA brand, developed at the request of the Kharkiv Region Biathlon Federation for training future biathletes. This model combines the company's modern developments: a high-precision rifled barrel, a powerful high-pressure reservoir, and an ergonomic ash stock.
Stock and Buttstock
The stock and buttstock are made of ash, featuring a massive construction that ensures rigidity and aiming stability. The buttstock is equipped with an adjustable cheek rest and butt pad for individual customization to the athlete. The stock integrates a module combining the trigger mechanism, safety, barrel, reservoir, and diopter sight. Sling swivels are provided on the stock and buttstock for attaching a sling.
Rifle Barrel
The barrel is made of steel on CNC machines, rifled (12 grooves), with a barrel length of 450 mm and a twist rate of 450 mm, ensuring high accuracy and shot grouping. Caliber is 4.5 mm, initial velocity ≈165±10 m/s.
High-Pressure Reservoir
The high-pressure reservoir is the heart of the PCP system. The model is available with a 220 cm3 reservoir (a 180 cm3 option is also available). The reservoir's working pressure is 22 MPa (220 kgf/cm2), with a maximum pressure of 300 bar. Magazine and Ammunition
The rifle is multi-shot and comes with six 5-shot magazines (magazine capacity 5 rounds). The number of shots with a fully charged reservoir is up to 200 shots, depending on the firing mode and energy.
Sighting Devices
A diopter sight is used as the sighting device. For greater versatility, the kit includes a spare diopter aperture of 1.5 mm (1.4 mm is installed) and a set of 5 front sights.
