Detailed Description and Usage Recommendations: Brunox Epoxy combines the properties of a rust converter and a primer, making it convenient for quick restoration of metal elements. The product has a transparent color with an amber tint, which allows for monitoring the uniformity of coverage. To achieve a protective dry film, a minimum thickness of 40–50 microns is recommended; when painting in industrial conditions, it is advisable to apply at least two coats, and in the case of aerosol treatment — 3–4 coats with intermediate drying.
Economical Use: The approximate coverage for painting is about 60 g/m2; for the first coat — approximately 15 m2 per liter. Viscosity at 25 °C for brush application or painting method is about 118 cSt, for spraying — about 37 cSt. The product density at 25 °C is 0.99±0.02 g/cm3, for aerosol — about 0.9 g/cm3.
Practical Tips: Before application, remove loose particles and weakened rust; the surface must be dry and free of oil and dirt. Apply in even strokes, observing the recommended drying intervals between coats. For best results, after drying, apply an additional finish coat with a suitable paint material.
Safety Notes: Use in well-ventilated areas or outdoors; keep away from sources of fire and heat. Flash point information is not specified in the product specification.
Brunox Epoxy is a practical solution for the restoration and protection of metal surfaces in military equipment and accessories, where speed of treatment and the combination of rust conversion with priming are important.
