RecOil Barrel Cleaning Foam 200 ml

RecOil Foam is a specialized product for cleaning weapon barrels after firing. Can volume: 200 ml. It is designed to remove powder residue and copper fouling, and partially dissolves brass and lead residues. The dense consistency of the foam ensures reliable adhesion to the inner surface of the barrel bore, allowing the product to act effectively without damaging the barrel.

Benefits and Action

The foam removes carbon and copper fouling, reacting with traces of copper — the reaction is visible by the blue or bluish discoloration of the foam and patch. Suitable for post-firing maintenance and intermediate cleaning, it facilitates subsequent polishing with patches and reduces mechanical processing of the inner surface.

How to Use

• Shake the can before use.
• Insert the nozzle from the chamber side and press the valve until foam exits the muzzle, tilting the barrel downwards.
• Remove excess foam; prevent it from entering the bolt and trigger mechanisms.
• Plug the barrel with a patch from both sides and leave it in a horizontal position for 20–30 minutes.
• Clean the barrel by pushing several dry patches; for heavy fouling, repeat the process with a dwell time of up to 60 minutes.

After cleaning, it is recommended to neutralize foam residues with RecOil cleaner-degreaser and lubricate the barrel with RecOil synthetic gun oil. This will restore corrosion resistance and ensure smooth operation during subsequent use.

Notes and Precautions

Avoid foam contact with the bolt and trigger mechanisms. When using, work in a well-ventilated area or outdoors. For heavy fouling, reapplication and extended dwell time may be required. The reaction to copper deposits can be easily tracked by the color of the foam and patch (bluish or blue hues).
