The Vitals GCH-20 Convection Gas Heater is a compact, mobile, direct-heating device that runs on standard butane camping cylinders. It is designed for rapid heating of small non-residential premises (garages, tents, gazebos) or for outdoor use. Thanks to its autonomy, two operating modes, and safety system, the GCH-20 is a convenient and reliable solution for temporary heating in cold weather.
Heating Power and Efficiency
The Vitals GCH-20 has a thermal output of 2 kW (maximum) and 1.4 kW (minimum), allowing it to effectively heat rooms up to 20 m² or an outdoor area for 4-5 people. The built-in fan creates a powerful warm air flow — up to 5 hours of continuous operation from a single 0.5 kg cylinder. The device starts in 90 seconds: piezo ignition lights the gas, the Peltier element powers the fan — and warm air immediately begins to flow. Two modes allow you to adjust the heating intensity to your needs.
Economy and Fuel Consumption
One of the key advantages of the Vitals GCH-20 is its minimal gas consumption — only 0.14 kg/h in maximum mode. A single standard camping cylinder (0.5 kg) provides up to 5 hours of heat without refilling. It runs on readily available liquefied butane with a G7/16 threaded fitting — connecting to any camping cartridge. This significantly reduces costs and makes the heater ideal for long trips or working in cold premises.
Safety System and Ignition
For safe operation, the heater is equipped with a three-level protection system: automatic gas shut-off in case of flame failure, an overheat sensor (triggers at 75°C), and tip-over protection. Piezoelectric ignition starts the device with a single press — no matches or lighters needed. Protective grilles on all ventilation windows prevent burns and injuries. IP20 protection class and low voltage (5-12 V from the Peltier element) ensure safety even in conditions of high humidity. Noise is only 60 dB, vibration is minimal.
