The handle is made of micarta, a layered fabric-based composite that provides a secure, grippy hold even in wet conditions. The chamfered edges of the scales reduce point loads on the palm and increase comfort during prolonged work. A comfortable thumb rest area is provided on the spine for increased control during complex cuts. For carrying, a two-position Ambi-clip made of steel is included, which can be installed on either side of the handle; there is also a lanyard hole.
