Ruike P831S-SB is an all-metal folding pocket knife from the Ruike brand, an updated version of the best-selling P831-SF, combining high cutting quality, compactness for everyday carry, and a thoughtful design.
The model received a modified opening mechanism: instead of a double-sided thumb stud, a steel flipper tab is installed, which allows the blade to be quickly deployed from the handle with a single press. A ball bearing made of high-carbon chromium steel is used during blade movement, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.
The blade has a reverse tanto profile with an extended straight cutting edge and a sharp tip, making the knife suitable for both cutting and piercing tasks. The blade length is 85 mm, and the spine thickness is 3.1 mm. The full length of the knife when unfolded is 195 mm.
The blade material is Swedish Sandvik 14C28N steel with increased chromium content and a small amount of nitrogen, which ensures corrosion resistance; cryogenic treatment increases hardness to 57-59 HRC. In the final stage, the blade undergoes tumbling, which makes the surface matte, better hides fingerprints and minor scratches, and strengthens the surface layer of the steel.
