The blade material is D2 tool steel, known for its increased resistance to abrasive wear due to its high chromium content; a carbon content of about 1.5% ensures high compressive strength. For quick opening, there is a through-hole at the base of the blade, allowing the knife to be opened with either the right or left hand.
