Description of Civivi Baby Banter C19068SB-1 Folding Knife

The Civivi Baby Banter knife is a compact EDC pocket knife designed by American designer Ben Petersen. It is a scaled-down version of the full-sized Civivi Banter, adapted for everyday pocket carry and quick use in urban environments.

The 59.4 mm blade is made from high-carbon Nitro-V steel, which includes vanadium and nitrogen for increased corrosion resistance. The steel hardness is 59-61 HRC. The blade surface is treated with a gray stonewash finish, which reduces metallic glare and makes scratches and fingerprints less noticeable. The grind type is plain.

The 2.3 mm thick blade opens with a 6AL4V titanium thumb stud; the mechanism features a ceramic ball bearing for smooth and reliable action. The blade is secured by a standard liner lock.

The handle is made of durable micarta: the scales do not deform or crack under mechanical stress and do not absorb unpleasant odors. The edges of the handle are specially rounded to prevent pressure on the palm during prolonged use. For safety and ease of use, a ribbed thumb ramp on the spine and an index finger choil are provided, which reduce the risk of the hand slipping onto the blade.

The tail end of the design features a two-position stainless steel clip and a wide lanyard hole. The existing steel clip allows for convenient attachment of the knife to a pocket or clothing.
