Description of Kentavr MB40-3 walk-behind tractor
The MB 40-3 is the most affordable, yet fully functional walk-behind tractor with a 7 hp engine. It features the same V-belt drive as the MB 40-2, a rotary tiller, and a new air filter, but instead of two pneumatic wheels, it comes with one support wheel. This is very convenient for work, especially if there's no need to constantly move the walk-behind tractor over long distances. It also doesn't include a bracket for front attachments, but if necessary, both the bracket and transport wheels (3.50-6 or 4.00-8) can always be purchased and installed separately. The tiller's gearbox is aluminum, and the handlebar has a lightweight stand with height adjustment only, making it quite easy to operate.
A walk-behind tractor with a V-belt drive has several significant advantages over walk-behind tractors of similar power with a direct gear drive. First and foremost, the belt drive simultaneously serves as power transmission, clutch, and a safety system element. If the rotary tiller suddenly jams with a stone or stick during operation, the belt drive absorbs the impact and prevents damage to the engine and gearbox.
