Description of Kentavr MB40-2 Power Tiller
The MB 40-2 power tiller is one of the lightest and easiest to operate among mid-range Kentavr power tillers. It is very compact, maneuverable, and convenient. It features a powerful gasoline engine (7 hp) and a V-belt drive, which simultaneously serves as a power transmission, clutch, attachment point for active implements, and a safety system element. The air filter with a remote air intake on the handlebar significantly extends the engine's service life. The tilling width is adjustable: 570 and 810 mm. There is a bracket for front-mounted implements. Handlebar height and rotation angle adjustment is quick and convenient.
A power tiller with a V-belt drive offers a number of significant advantages over power tillers of similar power with a direct gear drive. First, the belt drive simultaneously serves as a power transmission, clutch, and a safety system element. If the rotary tiller suddenly jams with a stone or stick during operation, the belt drive absorbs the impact and prevents damage to the engine and gearbox. In addition, a power tiller with a belt drive is significantly lighter in weight and cheaper in price, as well as simpler and more convenient to operate.
The MB 40-2 has a bracket for front-mounted implements, such as a mower, which can be easily connected using the free groove on the drive pulley. Handlebar height and rotation angle adjustment is quick and convenient. The rotary tiller gearbox is made of durable cast iron, and 4.00-8 pneumatic wheels are included.
