Fenix HM60R Headlamp — Power and Smart Features for Outdoor Activities
The Fenix HM60R headlamp is designed for hiking, camping, and outdoor activities. The model is equipped with a powerful Luminus SST40 LED, an additional Cree XP-G2 LED for neutral white light, and two Everlight 2835 LEDs for red light. The maximum luminous flux is 1300 lumens, and the beam distance reaches 120 meters.
Power and Charging
The headlamp is powered by the included Fenix ARB-L18-3400 18650 Li-ion battery; if necessary, two CR123A lithium batteries can also be used. Charging is done via a convenient USB Type-C port. When the headlamp is off, a single press and hold of the button allows checking the battery charge level: solid green — 100%–85%, green flashes — 85%–50%, red — 50%–25%, red flashes — 25%–1%.
Control and Mode Memory
Control is performed with a single button. To turn on/off, press and hold the button for approximately 0.5 seconds. A double press switches to functional modes. When on, a short press cycles through brightness levels. The headlamp remembers the last used spotlight mode — it will activate in this mode the next time it is turned on. Switching between mode groups occurs by pressing and holding the button for 1.2 seconds.
Stride Frequency Sensor
A special feature of the model is a stride frequency sensor, which automatically adjusts brightness in medium and maximum modes. The default frequency is 150 steps per minute. At a frequency of 150 to 220 steps/min, brightness increases proportionally to the frequency; at 220 steps/min, brightness reaches 150% of normal; at a frequency above 220 steps/min, it is maintained at 150%. If the frequency drops from 150 to 80 steps/min, brightness proportionally decreases; at 80 steps/min, it decreases to 70% of normal and is maintained at 70% at lower frequencies. When the frequency decreases, brightness gradually reduces with a 10-second delay.
Operating Modes
Below are the characteristics of the spotlight and functional light modes, determined during laboratory tests (using a Fenix ARB-L18-3400 battery at 21±3°C and 50%–80% humidity). Actual performance may vary depending on power sources and environmental conditions. Duration in Turbo mode is indicated taking into account brightness reduction when overheating protection is activated.

Protection and Indications
The headlamp has an overheating protection system: when the body temperature reaches 55°C, brightness automatically decreases for cooling; after the temperature drops, Turbo mode can be used again. It also provides battery charge level indication (green/green flashes/red/red flashes) and a memory function for the last spotlight mode.
Physical Characteristics
The body is made of high-quality plastic and aluminum, ensuring lightness and wear resistance. Dimensions — 85x45x45 mm, weight — 157 grams (including battery and head strap). The device withstands drops from a height of 2 meters and has an IP68 waterproof rating.
